Busy mornings can be crazy between making breakfast and lunches for the day, making sure my son’s homework is done and packed, making sure that he actually puts the lunch that I made into his backpack, and getting out the door. On time!
My first suggestion in making sure that mornings go smoothly is to do as much as possible the night before. This doesn’t always happen in my house because at the end of each day I am so tired that the only thing I want to do is crash. I have pretty well gotten my son trained to have his backpack all ready to go – homework, books and papers all packed. This way all I have to do in the morning is just verify that it’s done.
Second, a quick, but good for you breakfast is easy with Quaker oatmeal or Quaker Cinnamon Life Cereal. My middle son could sit down and eat an entire box of Quaker Life cereal in one sitting!!
For myself I usually take a packet of Quaker oatmeal and a banana and eat it at work! Haha that is one way to save time in the morning, right?
Third, my son is super picky about what he will and will not eat as far as school lunches so I make his lunch each day while I am making mine. Buying products that are easy to grab and better for you make this step a lot easier. I usually make him a sandwich or a tortilla roll up, he gets some type of crackers and a piece of fruit for lunch. Because they are required to bring a snack each day, Quaker makes it easy for me to just grab a Quaker Chewy Dipps granola bar and toss it in his lunch box for his snack!
You can find the Quaker Chewy Dipps product at Walmart in the granola bar aisle.
