If you need some quick cash read on… In my first 30 days of selling on eBay I made $95.45!!
Right now I have 53 items listed; a lot of clothes and some of our Wii games. Even though only 1/4 of my listed items currently have bids, I have a total of $98.79 pending! I am leaving all of the money I make in my PayPal account so that it is kept separate and there when I need it.
In 60 days of selling on eBay – selling things that have been sitting around my house not being used – I have made nearly $200! If I can keep this us for another two months I will have about $400 in my pocket for Christmas gifts!!!
Last month I showed you how easy it is to list an item on eBay, but are you aware of the eBay smart phone app? If you have a smartphone you should definitely check out the app. It makes the job of listing your items so incredibly easy. It has a feature that allows you to scan the UPC of the item and it will populate all of the item description information! I have used it for many books, dvds and we listed all of our Wii games with the app.
For the record, we have a Wii that is on the fritz. I haven’t wanted to get it fixed because I don’t want to pay to get it fixed. Well… last week the boys and I struck a deal. They are going to sell items on eBay until they make enough money to pay to get their Wii fixed! Hence, the mass listing of Wii games.
Not only was I hugely impressed that they were willing to sell a few of their games, but the boys listed the games using the eBay mobile app themselves!

Congratulations! I am OBSESSED with eBay! Pretty soon, you’ll be going to yard sales to find inventory to sell on eBay (my Saturday morning ritual)!
Thanks. I can only dream to be as successful as you are! I’m already in love! I seriously think about it 1/2 of my day. The taste of making money like that though…If I can average $100 per month for 12 months that is $1,200! And I’ve got one going into college next year.
We drove by an outlet store the other day and I did the “Ooh, we need to go in there one day, maybe I can get some good deals to sell on eBay.”
You inspire me! I need to get off my butt and get this project going. I’ve got books, shoes, clothes, movies….I just need to get it going. I’ll read the directions after work today and get myself going. I’m envisioning an Ebay shipping station in my basement. Shipping supplies, inventory, etc all in one place. Cha-ching!
I highly recommend getting an area set up if you are going to do it. Or, if not an area at least be prepared. I got all excited and listed a bunch of books and things and committed to “next business day” shipping. Well, I didn’t think about the fact that everything would have to be shipped all the same day.
I didn’t have shipping materials, or a scale! I, embarrassingly used my food scale!!! LMAO! And it worked in a pinch. At the very least I highly recommend gettng a scale and a few envelopes. GET THEM ON EBAY! I just bought 200 plastic type envelopes for $17! And I saw a heavy duty scale for under $5, but I already had already bought one full price. Ugh.
Have always just given away all the stuff, games, toys, kitchens etc from the girls … but just recently said to them they should try and sell it somehow.
Great idea, when i think of all we have just passed on — a fortune to be sure!
WAY to go!
I have always been famous for my New Years Eve drop offs at the Goodwill! And I have always said “dang, this is good stuff!” I highly recommend getting started with eBay. Get the girls involved too.
