Save money on prescriptions with Walgreens Prescription Savings Club

I don’t know about you, but I spend hundreds on prescriptions each year. Between my migraines and normal kid stuff I probably fill at least 2-5 prescriptions every month. Just for my migraines alone I take anywhere from 3 different prescriptions per month. My middle son has a prescription for acid reflux and he has an inhaler for exercise induced asthma! Then we have the bouts of strep throat, which all three of my boys got within two weeks of each other recently! HUNDREDS!!

With the Walgreens Prescription Savings Club, they guarantee that I will save money on my family’s prescriptions so what more could I want? I’m always looking to save a buck and if I don’t save more than the $35 I paid for a family membership in one year, Walgreens will refund the difference! Win-win.

I’m excited about this program because I prefer to use Walgreens pharmacy because they have a drive thru and when I have a sick kid or a killer migraine, the last thing I need to do is walk into a store to drop off or pickup.

When you visit the Walgreens Prescription Savings Club page online you can enter in medications that you and/or a family member use and find out what the cost with the savings club will be!

There are two options for the Walgreens Prescription Savings Club membership; Individual at $20 or family at $35. I was able to sign up me and my 3 boys for the $35 family membership!!

There is also two options to sign up. You can sign up online or you can go into a store and sign up at the pharmacy.

J and I opted to head over to a Walgreens and sign up in-store!

If you opt to sign up in store head to the pharmacy and they will get you all set up!

To get the four of us set up, it literally took about 5 minutes for the pharmacist to enter our names, address and birthdates into their system. I paid my $35 for the family membership, he let their system update and then printed a temporary card that is effective immediately!

We picked up a few extra items. Don’t judge me by my cart (Tums, Advil and IcyHot – I am raising three boys by myself)!

PS Have you ever gotten those caramels in the checkout area? No, I didn’t eat them. I’m dieting. But the boy sure enjoyed them. I can say from previous experience that they are delicious!
