We look forward to seeing the contest build school spirit amongst the students, parents, faculty and staff as the nominated school seeks to garner the most votes.
You could score up to $75,000 for your school and $25,000 for you! Tell us why your school rocks in 200 words or less.
For details on how to nominate a high school, participants can visit Famous Footwear on facebook or download the mobile app, Rock Your School, on an iPhone or Android.
Entrants must share in at least 250 words how their school would use the funds to make it “rock.” Fans can vote once daily for their favorite entry. For every vote cast, Famous Footwear will add $1 to the prize, up to $75,000 for the school donation and up to $25,000 for the entrant.
Two instant win prizes including $10 Famous Footwear and Converse gift cards, tote bags, T-shirts and more will be given away daily to voters.
- August 5 – September 8: Nominate your high school
- September 16 – October 5: Fans will be able to vote on their favorite finalists
- On or about October 21: The grand prize winner will be announced

i nomiated another local school in the area because my son’s private school was not listed
i think a lot of the money should get distributed to the families because we live in such a high poverty area.
id love to win the $50 gift card – my son always needs shoes every 3-4 months it seems!
if i won, the money would mostly go to my step son’s school because they greatly need it! it seems like every year, they talk about closing down the school!

With $75k our local High School could finally afford to provide uniforms to its sports teams and not have the boys share their sweaty jerseys – (yes, true story. They did not have enough uniforms, so as the soccer players all sweaty get subbed off the field, they hand their used jersey to the player coming on. That player then puts on the sweaty jersey and goes in. So gross…)

The special education department can use many more learning/teaching materials. The kids have to leave the area to get access to a computer which are shared school wide. They would benefit so much having visual aides as well….many rimes kids just need a different form of teaching to help them progress. I know mykids daughter and her classmates would gain so much with the funds, and it would continue helping all the new student diagnosed with learning disabilities.
Like many, I am broke…winning would mean my daughter can get new shoes. Right now she is sporting flip flops because they are 1putting $ a pair…and has last years gym shoes …which um afraid she might have outgrown….discount shoes (walmart..smart) are ok, but she “blows them out” in less than a month. Famous footwear’s shoes will last…if she quits growing maybe all year!
If our school won I would be extremely happy for the kids! Our family could be sooo benefited too! I am a single mom with 2 at home and a new grandson here too. My daughter is a teen mom. I could pay off all outstanding bills almost -minus my student loans…I could afford to pay more than attention for a change! Working full time isn’t enough for most, and this would be amazingly awesome!!
