The economy sucks. Bills don’t stop. In addition to the small ways you can work to save money, there are a few ways, REAL TRIED AND TRUE ways, you can either make a few extra bucks or a lot of extra bucks.

Sell items on eBay.

Look around your house, I guarantee that within 2 minutes you can find at least five things that you haven’t used and don’t need. Chances are someone else will want them. List them on eBay and make a few bucks. Here is a post I wrote to show you how to post an item on eBay.

Use Swagbucks to do your everyday searches online.

With Swagbucks you earn points that you can use for gifts, or gift cards for you to use yourself. You can also earn Swagbucks with special promotions they have going on AND by referring your friends to them. I use Swagbucks points every year to buy Christmas gifts like iTunes gift cards, restaurant gift cards and so on. Here are two posts I wrote on how Swagbucks can help you. I am addicted to using Swagbucks. I just love watching my points increase every single day!

Become a Local Business Consultant with Juice in the City.

Juice in the City is a daily deal site that posts local deals every day M-F. You can work for them by finding the deals to provide to the public. Here is a post where you can enjoy some of our vacation photos and find more info on JITC and how to become a Local Business Consultant with JITC.

Donate blood plasma.

You may shake your head at this one, but with a few hours each week you can make THOUSANDS by donating plasma! Here is a post where I give you information on how to make money donating blood plasma.

Become a mystery shopper.

When I was younger I always heard about people doing mystery shops. In fact, my first real job was as a waitress and we used to try to figure out who was a shopper. I always wanted to know how they did it and I could never find the resources, but alas I am grown up and am finally a mystery shopper! Here is my post where I list four companies I suggest to get you started with mystery shopping.

Take surveys.

There are many different survey sites out there where you can make about $10 per month by taking a lot of different surveys. Earn money with 20/20 Research by being part of their research panel. With 20/20 you earn cash. It’s generally a minimum of $50 a campaign. I once did a survey with them on my grocery shopping habits over two days and it probably took about 1 full hour of my time and I earned $75 cash.
