Who is Single Mom?

Hi! My name is Jill, I am a 30-something single mom to three boys (17, 16 and 8-going on 32) .

It is just plain difficult to raise kids these days, but throw in a budget, an ex, 20 extra pounds and voila it just got 15,231 times more difficult.  I have many mistakes under my belt but I have figured out how to make it work.  I own my own house and yes, I have debt (don’t judge me) but I manage to a strict budget.

Many people ask me how I manage it all. There are days where I have no idea what I’m doing and the thought of just sinking into the couch and never getting up just appeals to me. Most days, though, you can find me juggling kids, work, home, sports, fun, money, volunteer work, my not-so-healthy addiction to my Android (it is what it is) and loving every minute of it.

I am a kickass woman because I have worked hard to become successful, to raise good kids and be a good, loyal and loving friend. Lemme tell ya, it doesn’t come easy. I am a firm believer that what goes around comes around. I am PROOF that you can come back from the depths of pain and live to tell about it.

I hope to share my success, mistakes  and humor with you and help you have fun with your kid(s) instead of stressing over paying the bills, or buying a gift, or putting food on the table.

I still have a long way to go to and have big dreams of a beautiful house with a white picket fence and lush green grass, vacations on white sandy beaches with slushy red drinks and someone BESIDES ME to clean my house… Someday!
