Abbott Champions for Kids Snack Pack Delivery

This project has been amazing and has actually touched so many lives outside of my own family. I contacted my son’s teacher and asked her for a child/family that attends the school that is in need of healthy options for food. So then she and the school secretary talked and got the Principal involved. My facebook friends are involved, my real life friends are involved… It started with one, and is moving to many!!!

We delivered our Abbott Champion for Kids snack pack this morning to the front office of Jonesie’s elementary school. I had asked them to find a family that needed this, and they did. A family of five. That is all I know, and nothing more matters. Look at the smile on my boy’s face.

Abbott Champions for Kids Snack Pack Delivery My middle son, Joe, and I went shopping for the items at Walmart. Since this project is sponsored by Abbott Labs, we wanted to get as many Abbott products as possible. So I found a few super awesome coupons to help me make my bag even fuller! These $.55 off coupons helped me grab five ZonePerfect bars for only $.44 each!

Abbott Champions for Kids Snack Pack Delivery I was also able to print a few PediaSure coupons, and if you go to the PediaSure site you can get signed up to received a $3 off coupons and it prints twice.

Abbott Champions for Kids Snack Pack Delivery We were able to get two 4-packs of PediaSure Sidekicks for only $2.97 each. We saw some reusable snack bowls on clearance so we grabbed those too. What a great way to encourage healthy snacking with some cut up apples, or a handful of Cheerios on the go!? We grabbed one more at full price and a 6-pack of PediaSure. We also picked up some Buddy Fruits, some Whole Grain Cheerios, and a few pieces of fresh fruit for such a great deal!

It was soooo worth it. I think I spent around $32 using coupons. And to give you an idea – the four PediaSure items would have cost $28 without coupons! Be resourceful to be able to help out your community and use your couponing skills for good – it is so easy and will take very little out of your own pocket to change someone else’s life.

I don’t even believe that this changes only one person’s life. This is a chain reaction – through the school, through my family and friends, and through my readers and facebook friends. It starts with one, but touches many.
